Board-and-batten is a classic look that fits a lot of homes around west Georgia, from farmhouses to lake houses. On this job, new board-and-batten siding went up on the walls around a set of windows and a glass door, finished in blue-gray with white trim around the openings.
The photos show the vertical boards with battens covering the seams, the trim at the windows and door, and how the siding meets the deck below. Getting the trim and caulking right around openings is what keeps water out of the wall.
