Drywall Repair That Blends In
Holes, cracks, nail pops and water-damaged spots patched, textured and primed so the wall looks whole again.

A doorknob through the wall, a crack running up from a door corner, or a brown ring on the ceiling after a leak. Drywall repair is one of the most common things homeowners call us about, and it's one of the most satisfying jobs we do. Done right, you shouldn't be able to find the spot once it's painted.
What we repair
- Doorknob holes and other dents and punctures
- Holes left from old TV mounts, shelves, anchors and towel bars
- Cracks at door and window corners and along ceiling seams
- Nail pops, those little round bumps that show up in rows
- Water-stained or soft drywall after a leak has been fixed
- Corner bead that's dented, cracked or pulling loose
- Openings cut by plumbers or electricians to get into a wall
Why drywall cracks in the first place
Houses move a little. Our hot, humid summers and drier winters make framing lumber swell and shrink, and that movement shows up first at weak points like the corners of doors and windows. Older homes, including a lot of the mill-village houses around Hogansville and LaGrange, have had decades to settle. A thin crack is usually just that kind of normal movement.
What we look for is a pattern. Cracks that keep getting wider, doors that suddenly won't close, or stair-step cracks in brick outside can point to a foundation issue. If we see signs like that, we'll tell you and suggest a structural pro take a look before we patch over it.
You can read more in our guide on why drywall cracks.
Patch or replace?
Small holes get a patch. Larger damage, or drywall that got soaked and went soft or crumbly, usually means cutting out the bad section back to the studs and putting in a new piece. If a whole wall or ceiling is in rough shape, drywall installation may make more sense than a dozen patches. We'll give you a straight answer on which is the better use of your money.
Small nail holes you can often handle yourself. Our guide on patching a small drywall hole walks through it.
How a visit works
- Text us a photo of the damage, with something in the shot for scale if you can.
- We'll set up a time to look at it in person and give you a free estimate. Pricing depends on the size, the number of spots and whether painting is included.
- We schedule the work Monday through Friday. We protect your floors, cut and patch, tape and mud, sand, and match the texture.
- If you want us to, we prime and paint so the wall is finished, not just fixed.
Mud needs to dry between coats, so a good repair often takes more than one trip. Rushing it is how you end up with a patch that shows.

Common questions
Can you match the texture on my walls?
In most cases, yes. We match common finishes like smooth, orange peel and knockdown so the patch doesn't stand out once it's painted.
Do you paint the patch too?
We can. Some folks have leftover paint and want to do it themselves, and others want us to handle it. Just tell us when you ask for the estimate.
My ceiling has a water stain. Can you fix it?
Yes, once the leak is stopped. If the source is a roof or a plumbing line in the wall, you'll need that fixed first by the right pro, then we can repair and seal the ceiling.
How long does a drywall patch take?
Joint compound needs time to dry between coats, so most patches take more than one visit or a longer single visit. We'll tell you the plan when we look at it.
